2024 Oklahoma Family Caregivers Conference

Mobility Week 2024
MOBILITY WEEK 2024! November 4th-8th, 2024
Mobility Week in Oklahoma is a collaborative initiative led by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Mobility Management Programs, and their partner agencies to raise awareness about safe, reliable, and accessible transportation options across the state. This week-long event highlights the importance of coordinated transportation services and resources that help Oklahomans—especially veterans, older adults, people with disabilities, and individuals with limited incomes—access essential services, healthcare, and employment. Through outreach, education, and advocacy, Mobility Week encourages the community to explore available transit options that enhance mobility and independence for all.
Teeny Tiny Town Summit
The summit will be filled with speakers and networking that will equip you with ideas and solutions to take back and implement in your community.
Registration fee is $50 and includes lunch.

National week without driving
🚶♀️🚴♂️ Join the Week Without Driving Challenge – September 30th to October 6th! 🚇🚌
Ever thought about how challenging it can be for those who don't drive to get around? The Week Without Driving is all about raising awareness of the struggles nondrivers face every day. This challenge encourages us to reflect on our transportation system's gaps and inspires decision-makers to make it more accessible for everyone.
Especially in rural Oklahoma, we have all seen the huge amount of miles you have to cover before getting to essential locations like the grocery store, doctor's offices, and places of employment.
Did you know that in the Northwest area:
33% of households have 1 vehicle or no vehicle at all.
The average commute time to work is 20 minutes.
The rules are simple: you can get around however you choose—just don’t drive yourself. It's not a disability simulation or a competition to see how easily you can find alternatives. If you end up driving, that's okay! The goal is to think about the choices someone without the option to drive might have to make.
Anyone can take part in this challenge! Whether you want to participate as an individual, get your coworkers involved, or sign up as an elected leader or advocacy organization, your participation can make a difference.

Enid Street Outreach Services Resource Center grand opening
The community is invited to the grand opening of the Enid Street Outreach Services Resource Center. Beginning at 10 AM on August 24th, attendees can enjoy a "build your own" brunch bar by donation, fun face painting, games, vendors, and guided tours of the new facility. Guests are encouraged to bring items for the donation drop-off area. This event offers an opportunity to learn about the vital work being done at Enid SOS and how individuals can contribute to making a difference. Donations will support the continued provision of essential services to the community's most vulnerable members. This is a family-friendly event, so everyone is welcome to come and see what Enid SOS is all about.

ROC bus comes to Enid First Friday
First Friday is a monthly event to draw people downtown to shop, dine, and be entertained during the evening hours of the first Friday of the month. August First Friday is partnering with FLY Film Festival.
Northwest Mobility Management program Is bringing the ROC bus (Rolling Oklahoma Classroom) to Enid First Friday. The ROC bus is a new concept put together to fight back against human trafficking. Bus drivers, transit staff, and the general public play a big role in helping individuals affected by human trafficking. The ROC bus is bringing communities together to educate transit agencies and the general public on what to look out for when it comes to human trafficking on public transit.
The ROC bus will be featuring human trafficking training on August 4th at Enid First Friday. This training comes from BOTL.
