Transportation services that start and end with the client.

Northwest Oklahoma Mobility Manager, Chanler Cory

My name is Chanler Cory, originally from Norman, Oklahoma, but my upbringing unfolded in the vibrant cities of Austin and San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from high school in 2018, I made my way back to Oklahoma for college. At Oklahoma State University, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, which I successfully obtained in 2022. Following my graduation, I embarked on a professional journey, landing a full-time position at Wings of Hope Family Crisis Center in Stillwater as a victims advocate.

My inclination towards aiding others has been ingrained within me since childhood. In January 2023, I transitioned into the role of mobility manager at NODA. Drawing from my experience at Wings of Hope, where I provided crucial support to vulnerable individuals, I bring a wealth of knowledge in client advocacy, program management, and crisis intervention. I possess a deep understanding of navigating sensitive circumstances and connecting individuals with essential resources to address their urgent needs.

Entering my second year as a mobility manager, I am brimming with enthusiasm to spearhead advanced mobility initiatives.

Transforming the Northwest Oklahoma Transportation Network

As your Northwest Mobility Manager I am:

  • An on-the-ground transportation service coordinator and problem solver.

  • I work in real-time to solve the travel and transportation service challenges of individuals and customer groups.

  • I coordinate and develop partnerships with transportation service providers, Stakeholders, and other organizations to arrive at effective, cost-efficient, and meaningful transportation service solutions.

My goals

Inform and Connect

I constantly work to connect clients to the transportation options that are most responsive to their needs. I am always staying informed about existing community transportation services, sharing that knowledge with clients, and helping clients connect the dots in using transportation is what mobility managers excel in.

Understand and Advocate

I work to empathize with and understand my clients’ transportation situations. I then share that knowledge with partners.

I believe articulating the relationship between transportation and the success of individuals and community agencies that serve them is key to improving community transportation options.

Coordinate and Collaborate

I cultivate partnerships and create or join collaborative efforts that include transportation providers, planners, and other community stakeholders. I also take the lead in facilitating teams, meetings, public engagement sessions, and other forums.

Launch and Sustain

Whether an individual, an agency, or a partner has designed a new service or extension of a service, there are several steps I immediatly take to ensure its launch is successful and sustainable:

  1. Test assumptions about what parts will work and why

  2. Design the new service to meet customer expectations, is operationally feasible, and can be shown to be financially viable

  3. Begin with a limited launch, testing a small-scale version of the service in real-time, and solicit feedback from a small group of end-users

  4. Modify the service based on feedback, and when satisfied, scale up to a full-service
